UV, East West Partner on TESDA Micro-Credentials

The University of the Visayas (UV) and East West International Educational Specialists, Inc. (EAST WEST) have formalized a partnership through a memorandum of agreement to implement and promote TESDA-approved and TESDA-applied micro-credential and certification programs for students, faculty, graduates, and professionals, supporting workforce development aligned with national priorities.
In response to the growing demand for industry-ready skills, the University of the Visayas continues to strengthen its commitment to innovation and lifelong learning through strategic partnerships.
Under the agreement, the collaboration will offer a wide range of certifications in high-demand and emerging fields, including digital marketing, cloud systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, blockchain, and related technologies. These programs are designed to be skills-based, industry-relevant, and accessible, providing learners with credentials that enhance employability and professional growth.
Both UV and EAST WEST emphasized their shared commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and global competitiveness. Through this partnership, the institutions aim to equip learners with practical competencies that respond to evolving industry needs while promoting continuous learning beyond traditional academic pathways.
