UV Receives Multiple Awards at PACUCOA 36th Annual General Assembly

UV received three major awards at the assembly: Institution with the Highest Number of Accredited Programs Level I Formal, First Hospitality Management Program Granted Level IV Accredited Status in Region VII, and Institution with the Highest Number of Accredited Programs in Region VII, recognizing the university’s sustained efforts in strengthening academic quality and accreditation coverage.
The University of the Visayas stood out among higher education institutions as it garnered multiple distinctions during the 36th Annual General Assembly of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), held in Araneta City, Cubao.
PACUCOA recognized UV alongside institutions nationwide that demonstrated notable progress in curricular enhancement, faculty development, internal quality assurance systems, and overall program accreditation. The annual gathering also emphasized the growing role of AI-driven innovation and sustainability standards in shaping future-ready graduates.
These recognitions highlight UV’s continued commitment to upholding high academic standards and fostering an environment that supports excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning. Through consistent accreditation efforts, the university reinforces its role in advancing quality education in Central Visayas and beyond.
The awards were formally received by UV President Dr. Conrado E. Inigo, Jr., Vice President for Academics Dr. Anna Lou C. Cabuenas, and Vice President for Finance and Quality Management System Dr. Rosemarie C. Español. They were joined by UV deans and directors, including Dr. Aileen C. Costas, Dr. Yvonne A. Sevilla, Dr. Donald B. Narra, Dr. Robert M. Maluya, Dr. Albim Y. Cabatingan, and Dr. Anna Kathrina O. Watin, who represented the university during the assembly.
