UV Hosts First International Research Conference 2025

Researchers from 47 schools worldwide gathered at the University of the Visayas (UV) Main Campus for the first UV International Research Conference held on August 13–14, 2025, at the Inday Teresing Auditorium.
The University of the Visayas successfully concluded its inaugural two-day International Research Conference on August 14, bringing together local and international researchers to present studies on 21st-century learning, foster global academic collaboration, and share innovative strategies in education.
Organized by the UV College of Education in collaboration with the Philippine Teachers Association Bahrain (PTAB), Centro Escolar University, Jissen Women’s University (Japan), and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (Indonesia), the event aimed to advance research-driven practices in education and strengthen partnerships across academic institutions.
In his opening address, UV President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr. emphasized the vital role of research in enhancing teaching quality and driving continuous improvement in education systems worldwide.
The second day featured a series of breakout sessions organized into eight research clusters: Innovative Curriculum Design and Development, Instructional Strategies and Pedagogical Approaches, Assessment Strategies, Quality Assurance in Education, Arts and Humanities, Social Behavioral Sciences, Science, Mathematics & Innovation Technology, and Strategic Marketing. These simultaneous sessions provided opportunities for collaborative discussions and knowledge sharing among educators, experts, and students.
Certificates were awarded to the panel of reactors, presenters, and participants for their contributions. The event concluded with the singing of the UV Hymn, marking the successful end of the two-day academic gathering. Present at the conference were Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Anna Lou Cabuenas, Vice President for Finance and QMS Dr. Rosemarie Cruz-Español, college deans, faculty, and local and international participants.
