UV Celebrates Employee Loyalty and Appreciation

The University of the Visayas (UV) honored its long-serving employees and celebrated Employee Appreciation Day with back-to-back events on August 7 and 8, 2025, highlighting the vital role of faculty and staff in the institution’s continued success.
The two-day celebration began on August 7 at the Inday Teresing Auditorium, where UV recognized employees who have dedicated 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service to the university. Plaques of appreciation were awarded to honor their loyalty, hard work, and consistent contributions to UV’s mission of excellence. UV President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr. praised the honorees for embodying the university’s core philosophy: Amor • Servitium • Humanitas – Love and Service to Humanity.
The following day, August 8, UV hosted its annual Employee Appreciation Day on the university grounds, giving faculty and staff a well-deserved break through fun activities, games, and team-building events. In his opening remarks, Dr. Iñigo expressed gratitude for the employees’ unwavering commitment, calling them the driving force behind UV’s accomplishments and growth.
These celebrations reflect UV’s dedication to recognizing and supporting its people — from honoring decades of service to promoting well-being through community engagement and camaraderie.
