The University of the Visayas held a Total Quality Instruction Development Program seminar on August 5 at the Inday Teresing Auditorium, led by UV President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr., to enhance teaching strategies and integrate research-driven, AI-supported approaches in the classroom.
Faculty members from various colleges attended the seminar, which emphasized improving instructional methods to better address student needs. Dr. Iñigo urged faculty to adopt a “red carpet treatment” for learners — an approach that prioritizes responsiveness to academic concerns and fosters collaboration between teachers and students. Discussions highlighted the role of Artificial Intelligence in education, research-based instruction, and the benefits of a holistic teaching framework.
The program is part of UV’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen faculty development and ensure students receive quality education that meets global standards.
