UV Toledo holds Commencement Exercises

The University of the Visayas Toledo Campus held its 76th Commencement Exercises last August 1, 2024 at the Toledo City Sports Center.

A total of 391 graduates from the College of Business Administration (CBA), College of Criminal JusticeEducation (CCJE), College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA), and College of Education (COED) received their diplomas.

Eleven students were recognized for their achievement as latin awardees, having three who graduated magna cum laude, and eight who graduated cum laude.

The pronouncement was done by the Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr. Anna Lou Cabuenas.

The candidates for graduation were presented by the respective office-in-charge (OIC) of CBA Prof. Cirilo Adorable, CCJE Prof. Manisa Barbadillo, CETA, and COED Prof. Maria Fe Camaso.

The titles and degrees were officially confered to the graduates by the University President Dr. Conrado Inigo Jr.

The inspirational message was given by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Cebu South Steel Galvanized Sheets Manufacturing and a proud Visayanian alumna Ms. Vivian Mendez.

"People don't care what you say, they care on what you build," Ms. Mendez uttered.

She reminded the graduates to always thank God during hardships and in any circumstance, as well as not to waste even a minute to work for their growth and dreams.

The diplomas were awarded by Dr. Inigo and Dr. Cabuenas assisted by the Vice-President for Administration Mr. Elmer Ocaba, UV-Toledo Campus Admin Mrs. Mercenisa Piala, Student Record Management Department Director Mrs. Myra Osorio, and the OICs of the departments.

The words of gratitude was addressed by BSED graduate and ๐“œ๐“ช๐“ฐ๐“ท๐“ช ๐“’๐“พ๐“ถ ๐“›๐“ช๐“พ๐“ญ๐“ฎ Ms. Xyla Lei Pareja.

The pledge of loyalty and the alumni oath were led by BSBA graduate and ๐“œ๐“ช๐“ฐ๐“ท๐“ช ๐“’๐“พ๐“ถ ๐“›๐“ช๐“พ๐“ญ๐“ฎ Ms. Jemarose Labanes, and Visayanian alumnus Mr. Jorge Gorrero, consequently.

Witnessing the joyful event were the proud parents and family members of the graduates.
