UV Dalaguete holds COED, CBA graduation ceremony

THE University of the Visayas - Dalaguete Campus held its 12th Commencement Exercises for both the College of Education (COED) and the College of Business Administration (CBA) last August 2, 2024, at the Municipality of Dalaguete Gymnasium.
Dalaguete Campus which was recognized as the "Top Performing School" in the recent Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) once again produced a total of 187 fresh graduates.
Among them were from COED which accumulated 78 degree holders from the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) and 24 degree holders from the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics (BSED-MATH) respectively.
Additionally, CBA also yield 49 graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Human Resource Management (BSBA-HRM) and 36 graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) accordingly.
Batch 2024 composed of two (2) Magna Cum Laude, six (6) Cum Laude, six (6) Special Academic Citation, and one (1) Don Vicente Gullas Leadership Awardee were duly recognized during the ceremony.
On top of that, CBA Officer-In-Charge and Program Coordinator Ms. Flora May Amamangpang as well as COED Dean Dr. Florencia Orozco presented the candidates for graduation from their respective departments and were granted the conferment of titles and degrees by the University President Dr. Conrado E. Inigo Jr.
Meanwhile, Congressional District Representative Mr. Anthony Regner Borinaga served as the guest speaker on behalf of Cebu 2nd District Congressman Hon. Edsel A. Galeos.
In his message, he encouraged the graduates to take action in bettering themselves for their community, "Challenge yourself to be productive members of society," he said.
Ensued thereafter was the awarding of diplomas led by Dr. Inigo together with the Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr. Anna Lou C. Cabuenas and were assisted by the Campus Administrator Mr. Anthony S. Teo.
On the other hand, BEED Magna Cum Laude Ms. Reshelle Mae C. Ongkit delivered her address of gratitude expressing her indebtedness to everyone who aided her in her academic quest.
Ms. Ongkit also expressed her feeling of triumph, "And now we stand proud, diploma in hand as a symbol of our dedication, passion, and commitment to our professional careers. Ready to take on the world." she said.
Moreover, Dr. Orozco led the recitation of the Alumni Oath which was followed by the singing of the UV Hymn and the ceremonial tossing of academic caps that concluded the convocation.
