CHED Evaluates UV’s Master of Science in Biology

On September 12, 2025, CHED representatives visited UV to assess and validate the Master of Science in Biology, reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to academic quality and innovation.
The University of the Visayas warmly welcomed officials from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the evaluation and validation of its Master of Science in Biology program.
University President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr. and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Anna Lou Cabuenas led UV in receiving the CHED delegation. In his welcome remarks, Dr. Iñigo highlighted that the evaluation process signifies UV’s drive for continuous improvement and aligns with its vision of becoming an internationally recognized institution known for excellence and transformative education.
CHED Regional Office VII Education Supervisor II, Mr. Monshyne Cabual, assured the university of CHED’s support, emphasizing collaboration to ensure the assessment is constructive and meaningful.
Accompanying Mr. Cabual were Dr. John Donnie Ramos, Dr. Windell Rivera, and Ms. Angelu Clarizze Aquino. Representing UV were Vice President for Finance and Quality Management System Dr. Rosemarie Cruz-Español, along with senior leaders, deans, and program coordinators who joined discussions to present the program’s achievements and plans for enhancement.
The visit reaffirmed UV’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards and fostering innovative approaches in its graduate offerings.
