UV Green Lancers Start CESAFI Season 24 with a Win and Exciting Celebrations

The University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers kicked off their CESAFI Season 24 title defense with a solid 78-71 victory over the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars at the Cebu Coliseum on September 22. Raul Gentallan stood out as the Player of the Game, scoring 15 points and grabbing five rebounds. With coach Gary Cortes at the helm, the Lancers are on a quest for their third consecutive championship.
The festivities began with the grand opening ceremony on September 21, where UV President Dr. Conrado Iñigo, Jr. crowned Kylah Mae de la Peña from the University of San Carlos as Miss CESAFI 2024. The event also featured UV candidates Rhea Nina Cabailo and Jojo Mclean, who took home the Miss Photogenic award in the high school category. The excitement surrounding the season is palpable, promising a thrilling year ahead for CESAFI.
