The University of the Visayas (UV) Job Fair 2024 organized by the Career Placement Services and Alumni Relations Office (CPAR) in collaboration with the Student Affairs Services Center (SASC) on Friday, June 28, was a success.
Spearheaded by CPAR Director Dr. Rosanna R. Gullas and Deputy Director J V. Iway in partnership with the Student Affairs Services Center (SASC), the significant event aimed at bridging the gap between the Visayanian students and alumni and the ever-evolving job market, thereby enhancing career opportunities and professional growth.
Gullas, who is also the Director of UV Alumni Relations and ETEEAP, highlighted the importance of career readiness and lifelong learning. Her address set a motivational tone for the worthwhile undertaking, encouraging attendees to seize the opportunities presented.
Also gracing the affair was UV President Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr., who resonated the school's unwavering commitment to student success and professional development.
The very inspiring messages of Gullas and Iñigo underscored the vital role of education and continuous learning in achieving career goals.
The UV Job Fair 2024 drew participation from 15 companies from diverse industries, each actively seeking qualified applicants for various positions.
Students and alumni had the chance to engage directly with potential employers, submit resumes, and attend on-the-spot interviews.
The job fair provided UV a platform to reinforce its commitment to fostering career development and alumni success in their professional journey.
