UV Earns Prestigious Spot Among ASEAN's Top Universities

The University of the Visayas (UV) has reached another groundbreaking milestone, securing a position among the top 100 private universities in Southeast Asia according to the latest rankings released by AppliedHE.
This recognition cements UV's standing as a hub of academic excellence and innovation, enhancing its reputation as a leader in higher education across the ASEAN region.
The AppliedHE Private University Ranking was structured with the goal of measuring the qualifications and competencies of private universities that assist students in decision-making and in expanding their horizons when it comes to choosing the right university to guide them in their higher education journey.
It evaluates institutions based on metrics that matter most to students and stakeholders, emphasizing teaching and learning (40%), employability (15%), research (15%), community engagement (10%), internationalization (10%), and institutional reputation (10%).
What sets UV apart is not only its inclusion in this prestigious list but also its remarkable feat of being one of only 92 private universities in the Philippines to hold an Autonomous Status granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
