The University of the Visayas introduced its newly developed Food Arcade on November 21, 2025, offering students an expanded dining space designed to promote accessibility, wellness, and community comfort.
The University of the Visayas marked the soft opening of the UV Food Arcade on November 21, 2025, welcoming students to enjoy the first three concessionaires: Charlie’s Ice Cream, Mr. Toppings, and Botchoys. The launch aims to enhance on-campus convenience by giving students more accessible, enjoyable, and budget-friendly dining options.
This development comes at a significant time for the Visayanian community, especially for students returning to campus after experiencing recent natural disasters. The UV Food Arcade is designed not only as a dining space but also as a place that fosters wellness, balanced meals, and a sense of community.
University administrators carefully selected the concessionaires to ensure every meal offered meets standards of nutrition, quality, and affordability. The new stalls aim to support students with diverse tastes while maintaining an emphasis on health and accessibility.
