UV Joins the Nation in Celebrating Privacy Awareness Week 2025

The University of the Visayas proudly supports the National Privacy Commission (NPC) in celebrating Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) 2025, with this year’s theme: “Global Privacy Matters: Navigating a Borderless Digital World and Expanding New Professional Horizons.”
As data continues to cross borders at unprecedented speeds, the celebration highlights the growing importance of safeguarding personal information in a highly connected world. UV stands alongside the NPC in addressing today’s privacy challenges and promoting responsible data handling.
As a personal information controller, the University of the Visayas is committed to maintaining the highest standards of data protection. We uphold transparency, accountability, and security in handling the personal data entrusted to us, in full adherence to the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
