University of the Visayas Inaugurates Newly Renovated Inday Teresita Building, Also Known as “T-Square”

The University of the Visayas (UV) has taken another step toward enhancing its academic environment with the formal inauguration of the newly refurbished Inday Teresita Building, held on Tuesday, May 20. Commonly referred to as the “T-Square,” the six-storey structure now features airconditioned classrooms, modern laboratories, and upgraded facilities to better serve students, faculty, and staff.

The blessing ceremony was attended by top UV officials including UV Executive Board Chairman and CEO Dr. Gerald Anthony "Didi" Gullas Sr., Board Treasurer Dr. Leopold Gullas-Lucero, University President Dr. Conrado Iñigo Jr., and Assistant Vice Presidents Eduardo "Digul" Gullas III and Jose Miguel "JMi" Gullas.

They were also joined by Vice President for Finance and Quality Management Dr. Rosemarie Cruz-Español, VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Anna Lou Cabuenas, VP for Administration Elmer Ocaba, and Dr. Rosanna Gullas, Director of Career Placement & Alumni Relations and ETEEAP.

Named in honor of the late Teresita Gullas, one of the four children of UV founders Don Vicente “Inting” Gullas and Josefina “Pining” Gullas, the building now provides a more conducive and secure space for learning. Facilities such as the canteen, stairways, restrooms, and hallways were improved, while CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the building to ensure safety.
