CBA-BSTM Conducts Second Batch of FBSE Training

The University of the Visayas College of Business Administration (CBA), through its Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) Program, successfully conducted the second batch of the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training in partnership with the Department of Tourism.
Held as part of the program’s continuing efforts to prepare future tourism professionals, the training equipped third-year Tourism Management students with essential knowledge and skills in service excellence, professional conduct, and authentic Filipino hospitality. The activity aimed to strengthen students’ readiness for their practicum and future careers in the tourism and hospitality industry.
The training session was facilitated by Jose Rinan S. Calunia, Regional FBSE Trainer and Training & Development Manager of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino. Drawing from his extensive industry experience, he shared valuable insights and best practices on creating meaningful and memorable guest experiences, emphasizing the importance of delivering service that reflects the warmth and excellence of Filipino hospitality.
Through interactive discussions and practical examples, students gained a deeper understanding of the standards and values promoted under the FBSE program, further enhancing their professional competencies and customer service skills.
The BSTM Program expressed its gratitude to the Department of Tourism, Marichu Eyac-Libor, the BSTM faculty members, and MICE students for their support and contributions in ensuring the successful conduct of the training.
The activity reflects the University’s commitment to providing industry-relevant learning opportunities that prepare students to excel in the dynamic and globally competitive tourism sector.
