UV Formally Receives Autonomous Status Award From CHED

The University of the Visayas (UV) formally received its Autonomous Status from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in a special ceremony on Sunday, November 24, at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
UV President Conrado E. Iñigo Jr. was on hand to claim the prestigious award on behalf of the Visayanian community.
"I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to our Executive Board, Executive Officers, Deans, Principals, Program Coordinators, Faculty, Directors, Non-teaching staff, Alumni, and Students for your unwavering support and strong commitment in the deployment of UV's Quality Assurance Roadmap towards Internationalization," Iñigo said.
"Once again, thank you to the Executive Board for your total and perpetual support/guidance. God bless Team UV!" added Iñigo.
CHED has extended the Autonomous Status of the UV for another three years through Memorandum Order No.7 signed by CHED Chairman Prospero de Vera III on September 16. It has a validity period of three years from September 16, 2024, to September 15, 2027.
