Program Description
Ang programang ito ay magbibigay-tuon sa masaklaw na pag-aaral sa Wikang Filipino at paglalapat ng mga teorya upang lalong mahasa ang kaalaman at kasanayan sa pagtuturo at pagkatuto sa Filipino. Bukod pa rito, inihahanda ng programa ang mga mag-aaral ng may prinsipyong nakabatay sa pananaliksik at angkop na estratehiya na basehan ng pagbuo ng programang tumutugon sa paraan sa pagtuturo ng wikang Filipino.
This program focuses on a comprehensive study of the Filipino language and the application of theories to further enhance teaching and learning skills in Filipino. Additionally, the program prepares students with research-based principles and appropriate strategies as the foundation for developing a program that responds to the method of teaching the Filipino language.Program Policies
Qualification for Admission
This program is open to graduates of bachelor’s degree in elementary or secondary education or its equivalent. Students entering from fields other than education must have completed a minimum of 18 units of undergraduate professional education.
Reminders
- An INC grade will be given to students who failed to comply with the final requirements of the course;
- INC grade should be complied within one year, otherwise a grade of 5.0 will automatically be reflected on the report card;
- The maximum units to be enrolled for each trimester should be strictly observed;
- A comprehensive examination will be given after the completion of all Level 1 courses;
- The Thesis writing course can only be taken after passing the comprehensive examination;
- A schedule for Proposal Hearing and Final Oral Defense will be posted. Application must be made within the approved schedule only;
Compre Exam / Terminal Paper
After completing the academic requirements of 36 units, the doctorand can apply for the Comprehensive Examination which will cover the basic courses, major courses, and cognate courses.
Requirments for Graduation
Six (6) Hardbound copies and a soft copy of publicly defended practice-based dissertation.
