The Doctor of Dental Medicine program is a six-year program consisting of basic science, clinical science and dental public health courses. The Dental of Medicine program aims to produce graduates for the general practice of the profession who are scientifically knowledgeable, technically capable, and socially sensitive in the maintenance of health. The graduate shall advance oral health as an integral part of general health and total well-being of the individual.

The Doctor of Dental Medicine aims to produce graduates who shall;

• Pursue lifelong learning who promote the values and goals of the profession.
• Engage in innovative research that will contribute to the body of knowledge relevant to the practice of the profession in clinical and community settings.
• Practice and promote safe and effective management plan for the patients based on understanding of the basic and clinical sciences.
