Bachelor of Science in Biology major in Medical Biology is designed to forge experts with a solid biology foundation and a specialization in medical applications. Our goal is to produce professionals within five years of graduation who excel in government, private institutions, and various agencies, demonstrating ethical problem-solving abilities, conducting impactful biological research, pursuing advanced education, and thriving in medical and health-related careers. Graduates possess comprehensive competencies, from a deep understanding of biology principles to research skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication.

Five years after graduation, the General Education Program aims to produce students who shall:

• Employed in government/private institutions and other agencies with biological expertise are needed;
• Established ability to unravel multifaceted problems with high ethical standards singly or teams;
• Conduct research in the various areas of Biology;
• Undertake post graduate education in Biology and allied fields; and
• Pursue careers in medicine or any medical related fields.

Completers of the General Education Program are expected to:

• PO1.  Develop an in-depth understanding of the basic principles governing the science of life;
• PO2.  Utilize techniques/procedures relevant to laboratory or field work research settings;
• PO3.  Carry out basic mathematical and statistical computations use of appropriate technologies in the analysis of biological data;
• PO4.  Extend knowledge and critically assess current views and theories in selected areas of the biological science;
• PO5.  Apply analytical, critical and problem-solving skills using the Scientific Method;
• PO6.  Design and perform techniques and procedures following safe and responsible laboratory field practices;
• PO7.  Interpret scientific data and reflect on relevant scientific and ethical issues; and
• PO8.  Communicate information, ideas problems and solutions both, orally and in writing, to other scientists, decision makers and the public.
