Program Description
The Doctor of Health Care Management (DHCM) responds to the evolving needs of healthcare agencies for highly trained, research-oriented top-level managers. Aimed at both medical and non-medical professionals, the program enriches organizational principles and their application in healthcare. Advanced studies, practicum, and research opportunities enhance management expertise, leadership capabilities, and techniques. Graduates are empowered to take the next step in their organization, responding effectively to the challenges of health care management.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)
The Doctor of Health Care Management program aims to produce health professionals who:
- Demonstrate highly advanced systematic knowledge and skills in the health care system and its management; (PQF LEVEL 8)
- Manifest research competencies sufficient to design, conduct, analyze and produce multi-disciplinary and more complex quantitative and qualitative research on various topics of relevance; (PQF LEVEL 8)
- Provide highly organizational and technical competencies to the larger context and system of health care, as well as the ability to call effectively on other resources in the system to provide optimal health care systems; (PQF LEVEL 8)
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors such as effective strategic thinking/planning, collaboration, problem solving, and consensus building careers in health care delivery systems; (PQF LEVEL 8)
- Demonstrate significant level of expertise-based autonomy and accountability to professional leadership for innovation, research and/or development management in highly specialized or interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary fields. (PQF LEVEL 8)
Program Outcomes
Graduates of the Doctor of Health Care Management program are expected to:
