PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Hospitality Management is a four-year degree program that equips students with competencies related to the basic and core requirements as well as those associated with major and minor areas in the hotel and resort industry. It prepares graduates to become global leaders and managers for major hospitality industry segments by developing student’s, knowledge, skills and attitude that can be applied at the workplace in managing world class front and back of the house operations, building guest relations, managing financial transactions, creating marketing opportunities to foster business ventures.

The combination of theories learned inside the classroom, industry immersion and on-the-job training will prepare the students to be globally competitive in tourism and hospitality management operations.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

BS Hospitality Management

PO1. Perform the functions of management, employ concepts that underlie the functional areas of business, and apply decision making tools to critically, analytically, and creatively make informed decisions to drive results. (PQF 6, ILO 2, ILO 3)

PO2. Apply digital proficiency in analyzing data to effectively communicate information to stakeholders for decision making. (PQF 6, ILO 4)

PO3. Work independently and communicate effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams. (PQF 6, ILO 1, ILO 6, ILO 7)

PO4. Demonstrate corporate citizenship and social responsibility by exercising high personal moral and ethical standards.  (PQF 6, ILO 7)

PO5. Manage food production and food & beverage operations seamlessly based on industry standards. (PQF 6, ILO 1, ILO 2, ILO 3)

PO6. Perform and manage full guest cycle and housekeeping services for guest and facility operations. (PQF 6, ILO 1, ILO 2, ILO 7)

PO7. Plan and organize meetings, events and conventions following enterprise standards.(PQF 6, ILO 2, ILO 3, ILO 6, ILO 7)
