ENROLMENT PROCEDURES

The University of the Visayas is open to students who meet its academic standards and who are personally qualified to acquire a formal education, has the personal aptitude to carry on a directed school work as expected of them culturally, emotionally, mentally and professionally, socially adaptable, communicative proficiency in the English language and are willing to abide by the rules, values and ideals of the institution.
The University of the Visayas follows the “open admission, selective retention” policy of student admission.

A. ON-SITE ENROLLMENT

SPECIFICALLY USED FOR NEW STUDENTS UNDER BOARD PROGRAMS

Admissions Office 

1.   Screen the documents of the individual student-enrollee. 

Accounting Representative 

2.   Receive enrolment fee from the student and validate receipt and enrolment from and signs.  

Testing Office 

3.   Take an assessment exam for intervention purposes 

College/Department 

4.   Post offered subjects in the current term. 

MIS 

5.   Check the offer code plotted in the enrolment form and print out study load if no conflict found in the schedule. 

ID 

6.   Secure student an identification card. 

SPECIFICALLY USED FOR NEW STUDENTS, TRANSFEREES, AND CROSS ENROLEE

Admissions Office 1.  Screen the documents of the individual student-enrollee.
Accounting Representative 2.  Receive enrolment fee from the student and validate receipt and enrolment from and signs.
Registrar 3.  Evaluate subjects taken by the student from the previous school.
College/Department 4.  Post offered subjects in the current term.
MIS 5. Check the offer code plotted in the enrolment form and print out study load if no conflict found in the schedule.
ID 6.  Secure student an identification card.

SPECIFICALLY USED FOR OLD STUDENTS, RETURNEES AND SHIFTEES

College/Department 

1.   Screen and evaluate subjects taken by the student from his last term attended. Post offered subjects for the current term. 

Student 

2.   Plot the subjects to be taken in the current term and have it verified at the department. 

Accounting 

3.   Receive enrolment fee from the student and validate receipt and enrolment form. Stamp the “UV Accounting” portion of the enrolment form and signs. 

MIS 

4.   Check the offer code plotted in the enrolment form and print out study load. 

ID Station 

5.   Secure student an identification card.

B. FOR ONLINE ENROLLMENT (New Students College and SHS)

1. Proceeds to enrolment website and accomplishes enrolment data fields
2. Selects section (subjects or schedules) to be enrolled
3. Pays enrollment fee
4. Submits accomplished enrollment
5. Verifies payment and approves enrolment and provides feedback
6. Assigns student ID number
7. Encodes the subjects to the system
8. Verifies enrolled subjects

C. FOR ONLINE ENROLLMENT OLD STUDENTS (RETURNEE, SHIFTEE, AND CONTINUING)

1. Go to http://serp.uv.edu.ph and login using the credentials below:
           Username: ID NUMBER
           Password: MIDDLE NAME
2. Change your password
3. Enroll to an open period by clicking ‘Enroll to 1st Semester 2020 – 2021
4. Enlist your subjects
5. Submit your enrollment by clicking the Option 4 ‘Confirm’ tab and then ‘Submit Enrollment’ button
6. Upload your receipt to tinyurl.com/uv-onlinesubmission-receipt

D. FOR ONLINE ENROLLMENT (TRANSFEREE)

College/Department

1.   Screen and evaluate subjects taken by the student from his last term attended. Forward the email of the student and details to the admission officer

Admission Office

2. Generate ID number based on the personal information of the student. Form is to be given by the admission officer through an email.

Student

3.   Plot the subjects to be taken in the current term and have it verified at the department.

Accounting

3.   Receive enrolment fee from the student and validate receipt and enrolment form.

MIS

4.   Check the offer code plotted in the enrolment form and print out study load.
